The past two weekends, the rain came hard and heavy Friday afternoon and lasted through the night, so the softball games have been rained out. Not to mention, we had a bye in there too so it has been 3 weeks since we had a game. But this past weekend was beautiful, so we got to play. Aubry spent the night at a friends house who just happened to live in the area (somewhat) of where the ball field is. The thing is, the game was not until 9:30 and I did not want to take her there so late, nor did I want to drive all the way back to Fort Worth to wait for game time. So, Hunter followed me out to drop Aubry off and we roamed around town for a while. Had dinner out at Arby's (yum) and hit up a couple of furniture stores. We found the table that I have been eyeballing online and I love it even more in person. And we found a very nice poker table at the same store. Both for very reasonable prices. Hunter was looking at the couches to put up in the media room and found one that looks cool and is so comfortable. Only problem, the sales lady said it only came in one color leather and it was not the color that he wanted. Sigh. So back to square one. By then, it was time for the game so I headed to the ball field and Hunter headed back to Fort Worth to get some stuff taken care of. When I saw the team that we were playing I was like, oh crud. And the game played out just like I thought it would. We played very well, but they were truly the better team. They out hit us, a lot! I managed to go 3 for 3 and scored 3 of our runs. But, we still got our butts handed to us. Oh well, you can't win them all....and we don't!
Saturday was spent lolly gagging around the apartment and doing laundry until it was time to get Aubry and head out to Keller. We get to the house and walked in through the garage to see all the lovely cabinets and tile. There is so much tile and I am so very happy with how it looks. The color is awesome and it blends really nice with the cabinets. They have ripped out the cabinet where the linen closet is supposed to be in the master bath and have framed it out as well. Finally, got that one right! Not a whole lot has changed other wise (from the latest pictures that I have posted). So, there are no new ones this time. Just walking around in there and getting a feel for the space makes it easier to imagine where things will go. I have plans, big plans for that house! We got done looking around and called Hunter's friend Mike to see about dinner. He was up for it and his girlfriend was able to make it as well. Her name is Nikki and she is pretty cool. Easy to talk to and very friendly. I hope to hang out with them more. Aubry really liked her too...in fact, she talked her ear off pretty much the whole time we were with them. Nikki didn't seem to mind though! So after dinner, we went to the furniture store called The Dump. (I mentioned this place is a prior post.) Any how, this store is huge and hard to know where to start without the feeling of missing something. So off we went, looking around to know if it would be worth coming back when we actually have a house to deliver the stuff to! Mike is in the market for living room furniture as well so there was a reason we all went. Well....low and behold, there sat the very same couch that we saw the night before at the other furniture store. And, it was in a different color leather. We walked a little further down the aisle and saw another one, in a different color leather, and yet another set....different color. What happened to, "I am sorry, this couch only comes in this color". Turns out Mike really liked it too and will be buying it today. And when our house is ready, we will also go back and pick up the same set. The Dump was pretty cool and they had a lot to choose from so we will be back. But for now, we just have to hope that when the furniture rotates out, the couch will be in that rotation!
