Friday Softball

In a word or two, we lost....horribly. They hit the ball where we weren't and we hit the ball where they were. Easy 3 up down in some cases. It was pretty embarrassing to say the least. I can't even say I had fun, because I actually didn't this time. Normally, I just get out and have a good time but this was not a good time. This coming Friday we are off because of the Memorial Weekend. Tons of people will not be in town so they moved the double header to June 1st. Works out perfect for me actually because we are closing on the house this coming Friday. Hard to believe but that time is already here. We got the all clear yesterday at 4:30 that the loan was approved and the closing papers are getting in order now. So our count down is literally days now. No more months, no more weeks...just days! And on that note, I ran a very ambitious errand at lunch yesterday. Home Depot was running a sale on their paint, so I went up there and got something like 6 cans of paint and supplies. So, I have what I need now for the 3 rooms I intend to paint on Friday (and probably part of Saturday). They are not complete room painting jobs. One of them is just an accent wall which will take like maybe 30 minutes. The other room will have chair rail put up and the bottom half will be painted. Aubry's room on the other hand will take some time. Chair rail will be put up in there as well with pink, green and white stripes on the bottom half and solid green on the top half. It is going to look awesome but I have never done stripes before. They scare me. Maybe Aubry will change her mind and want just solid pink on the bottom, no stripes! Oh and my friend Shannon volunteered her services to help paint on Friday. After reading what my intentions are, I hope she does not change her mind....
