Well, I did not get to paint this weekend. I am just going to stop saying that I am gonna start on Aubry's room. Every time I mention that, something comes up that keeps me from even starting. My plan though is to see if the prime is necessary. I am going to paint a blob of green and a blob of pink over the mocha color and let it dry over night. If I am happy with the color, I will not prime. If I am not happy, I will prime. I have a feeling that it is going to require the prime in order for it to go on smooth and even. We shall see. But, from this day forward I will not mention "painting this coming weekend". The next time you hear about it is when you can see pictures of it completed! We did get a little bit further on our room though. The shelves are up but the walls are still a little bare. I am posting a couple of pictures of it just give an idea of what we are doing in there in the way of decor. I am also including a picture of what I did in the niche at the top of the stairs. This has to be one of my favorite pictures of Aubry. She looks beautiful!
Over all, the weekend was decent. Nothing super exciting happened. Saturday was filled with Hunter installing a car stereo in a friends car. He did that until late afternoon. Aubry and Payton hung out and did their thing until around 3:00 something when Shannon came and picked Payton up. They were on their way to Kansas to spend a few days looking at houses and the possibility of building a home. Hard to believe that time is here already for them to move....
Sunday was spent at my Dad's. Last weekend, we tried to hook up but that never happened. Between scheduling conflicts and what not, it was just not in the cards for me to go over there. But today, I made it! It was nice to catch up and hang out for a bit. Once I got home, I made dinner and then we went out for ice cream at the Marble Slab. So good and yet so bad! (you know what I mean!)
