A Whole Slew of Things

Let me see, where do I start. This weekend was pretty full of random, yet fun stuff. Friday after work, I took Aubry out shopping while Hunter spent a happy hour at some restaurant celebrating a friends birthday. While he was out, Aubry and I were successful in our venture to find her some black boots. We had dinner out and then came home to goof around and play some games. Saturday started with a nice long run for me. But not before I cleaned the bathrooms and the kitchen. After my run, I got home, got cleaned up and waited for my dad and Connie to come over. It has been awhile since they have been over and since their annual trip to Florida is coming up, it was a good time to see them before they took off for a couple of months. I must admit, I am a little envious because they are going on a cruise in January. And from the sounds of it, it is the same cruise that Hunter and I took last year. So, we had lunch/dinner out with them. Sunday was a rather exciting day which started with tennis in the morning. Saturday ended with a movie and play time on the computer. Those are some of my favorite days. The ones where you can just chill out. Sunday started with some tennis playing. Mike came with us to "learn" the game and I think he liked it okay. He only cussed when he realized Hunter was running around with the camera taking some action shots. He got the perfect picture sequence of shots showing Mike completely whiffing a serve. Good stuff! We finished up there and got home in time to shower before our next event. We met LaBrett and Gene out for lunch just before the match up between the Cowboys and the Patriots. We all met back at our house with beverages and snacks in tow, just in time for kick off. I really won't go into great detail about the game because the Cowboys did lose to the Patriots. I was really hopeful that they would win, but in the back of my mind I knew the Patriots were truly the better team. Either way, the 'Boys are 5 and 1. Not too shabby. So, here we were watching the game and having a great time in spite of the loss. LaBrett and I enjoyed some wine and maybe a little crown and coke. When the game was over they hung around to shoot some pool and play games. It was just a really fun night. They are cool people to hang with and I am glad we met them.

Until next time.....
