Thanksgiving Weekend
What a fantastic weekend! Thursday was Turkey Day and we headed over to Mary Jo’s for a fabulous dinner. There was such a huge variety which made it difficult to taste every thing without getting bloated. I was a good girl though. I did not over do it and I walked away satisfied and not miserable! We were there pretty late playing cards, board games, etc. And of course, I watched the Cowboys stomp all over the Jets. As for the board game selection, Jennifer brought “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” The TV show has apparently spawned a board game. We teamed up since there were so many of us and Aubry was my partner. As luck would have it, she is a 5th grader! You would be really surprised at some of the questions. It makes you feel really, well, not smart! Aubry and I did great though. It even snowed that day and part of the night, which made for a nice setting (from the window!). Friday, I took Aubry back to her Nana’s so she could spend the night. She would have stayed over there on Thursday but she wanted to sleep in her own bed. Friday night, I had sushi with LaBrett. We went our separate ways after dinner. I went home to watch a movie with Hunter and she went to her house to just chill. She had to work that day and it was pretty rough one from what I gathered too. Saturday was spent doing laundry in the morning. In the afternoon, Hunter, Gene, LaBrett and I went to the Harkins Theater at the Town Square. We all wanted to see Hitman, which was pretty good. It is a movie based on a very popular video game. Big surprise that we all wanted to see it (insert sarcasm here). After the movie, we had dinner at Salt Grass and then spent the rest of the evening playing Rock Band back at our house. Aubry was home by then so she got to join in on the fun. Sunday was cleaning day. I won’t bore you with the details. Overall, the 4 day weekend was much needed and I look forward to having another one just like it. And I promise pics of Rock Band are coming soon. They are sitting on the camera, patiently waiting to be loaded onto Hunter’s computer.
