The last countdown I had was when we were having our house built. This next count down is Liz and Matt's arrival to visit us for a few days. I am so excited, I am just beside myself! It has been almost two years since we have seen each other but even during that absense, we still have that goofy connection that we had when we were kids. I remember many times picking up the phone, dialing her number, waiting for it to ring, only to hear her on the other end saying "hello?" before the phone evan rang. Apparently, she was dialing me at the exact same time and the phone never rang for either one of us. That happenede a lot and we do that now with IM'ing too. As soon as I hit send on my message to her, a box pops up from her with a nice little greeting. It is just cool how after all these years, we are still connected. We just have a special bond that is so hard to find these days. And for us to have it after soooo many years makes it even cooler!
So this weekend brought a little bit of excitement. One part that stunk was the migraine and just overall sick feeling that sent me home from work on Friday. Yuck. It went away, sort of and Hunter and I were able to enjoy some time together. (Aubry is at her nana's for the weekend). We ended up replacing the TV in the media room and moving the old TV downstairs. We bought something a bit bigger with crazy picture quality. You would not believe how crisp the picture is and how bright the colors are. It is absolutely awesome. Makes we wish we would have bought it sooner for football season! ;) We spent some time playing WoW and we also went out to eat and rented a movie to enjoy on the new TV. We had great seats too! As for that pesky headache, it still nags at me and it is Sunday, 2 days after is started. Enough already. I have been fighting something for the last 2 weeks anyway and I think it is trying rear its ugly head. I will win, I hope.
Oh, one more thing...Aubry professed her interest in wanting to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow. I am going to jump on the net and try to find a place that teaches archery. Any of you blog readers that are in the Dallas/Fort Worth area...if you know of a place that will teach kids and adults too, let me know. Send me a comment or something. That would be great. She is also wanting to get back into tennis. I enjoyed coaching the kids so much that I would love to get back into that too. Makes it even more fun for me and Aubry.
Peace out from the Barbosa's.
