A Random Post

I am pleased to say that I am not logged into my laptop this weekend. I get to actually enjoy a weekend with no work. Well, work that I would get paid for any way! There is always the work of laundry, bathrooms, cleaning the kitchen, etc. But, I will take that over 12 hours of the other work on a Saturday.

Last night, we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Saltgrass Steakhouse. After that, we went to Best Buy and meandered for awhile. Ended up coming home with a Dyson vaccuum cleaner. I don't do the floors (Hunter does) but this Dyson is awesome. It was kind of disgusting to see the amount of dirt and hair that was picked up by this thing, but at the same time, nice to know it is no longer in the carpet and on the furniture. So, while Hunter vaccuumed, I did laundry and cleaned the bathrooms. Aubry and I also managed to get outside for awhile today. It would have been silly to waste such a pretty day. (It was 68 degrees for those of you up North that are still under a blanket of snow!)

I decided that I want to try my hand at abstract painting. I figured, why not. I know exactly what I want for the media room in the way of art on the walls, but I cannot find what I want in the stores. I get really close but the colors are off just enough to make it not work. So, I decided I would buy the paint and canvases and try it myself. Liz and LaBrett both paint and say it is easy to do. Just a matter of interpretation. The problem is, they are talented! Me, not so much...

The material for the pillows came in, finally. Now I just need to find time to actually sew the pillows. LaBrett is going to help me with those. That is yet another thing I decided I wanted to try my hand at...sewing. (for those of you that just fell out of your chair, get up...it is not that much of a shocker, is it?!).

Another thing that I have been interested in doing is taking a dance class of some sort. Don't ask me why, but I think it would be fun. Maybe not a widely used skill, but it would still be fun. Speaking of skills, Aubry wants to learn Archery. I am going to call Cabela's and see if they can point me in the right direction.

I am sure there are other random thoughts I can put in tonights post, but I think the few items I have in here already is enough.

I am off to hang with Hunter for a while.
