Skittles and Ice Cream?!

Aubry just came into the computer room and asked if she could put skittles in her ice cream. Gross....but go right on ahead. This is the first time we have had ice cream in the house in a very long time. I bought it last weekend to go with my birthday cake, but I sort of forgot about it until today. Ooops.

This weekend brought an event that I know will come soon to the Barbosa household. I went to LaBrett's to help her out with her daughters 12th birthday party. It was a slumber party to which Aubry was invited. There was about 9 or 10 screaming 11 and 12 year olds and at times it got LOUD!!! Wow, I mean really loud. Almost shrill. But, they were having fun and we could escape outdoors for a moment if the need should arise. And it did, several times! It was not bad, I am exaggerating a bit. I do know the girls had a great time. Although, Aubry did mention a couple of things that happened that she was not to thrilled about. But, it is just one of those things that occurs when you don't know every single person there. But overall, she did have fun and I can't wait to see the pics off of LaBrett's camera.

So now we are to Saturday....what happened Saturday? Errands, cleaning, the usual. Mike came over for a little while to hang out. I went to get Aubry around 5:00 and we headed out to dinner around 7:00. It was a decent day even though nothing earth shattering happened. Not that earth shattering stuff has to happen all the time...

Sunday was a continuation of cleaning which this time included washing my car. I also got Aubry all situated for the summer. She is really looking forward to going back to the summer camp that she went to last year. I am very happy for that because it gave her an opportunity to meet new people and do a lot of new and fun things. I also went to look one last time at the patio furniture I have been contemplating on buying. This time, they had a little pamphlet out so I took it home to show Hunter. He was not too keen on the way the chairs were made. So, it is back to square one for me. I will find what I am looking for...I know I will. For the most part, the weekend was pretty chill. Next weekend I plan to get after the garden. There are weeds and grass to be pulled out. I have to decide on what I am going to keep that was part of our landscape package when we had the house built. I like most of the shrubs. They are doing well. There are some other things I am just not sure about though. I do know I have big plans for the back yard. It is not a huge yard by any means, but it is sad looking. There is no life back there, at all. I am going to fix that! Hopefully, it will not be a situation like Aubry's room where I keep mentioning "I am going to do it..." and it takes me a long time to actually get it done. I will only mention it one more time and that is when it is actually complete.

For now, I am off to finish up the laundry. How exciting.
