Post Christmas

Right now, I am in the computer room chillin' with my family and we are enjoying our time together. Christmas was a nice relaxing day as well. We all needed it. I realize that Aubry just goes to school but she was really ready for some time off. 6th grade has proven to be very different from any other grade. I know, it will just get harder. Any how, Hunter and I both work our booties off and this vacation time is well needed for us as well.

So, I am going back in time to Christmas morning where Hunter and I woke up well before Aubry. When she finally got up, I really expected her to be raring to go and open her gifts. She sat down in her computer chair and said she needed some time to wake up first. An hour and half later, we headed downstairs to open gifts. I have a ton of pictures and not really sure which ones to share! She is very grateful for what she gets and was appreciative of everything. All of the pictures reflect that so it is just hard to pick. Hunter and I exchanged gifts as well which we say every year we are not gonna do because we just don't "need" anything, but every year, we have something for one another. Any how, after gift opening, I dang near broke/cracked Aubry's chin. Not intentionally mind you...but the incident left her in tears and a knot on my head. It was one of those things where she was coming down to the floor where I was sitting and I was on my way up to stand so I could hug her. We ended up colliding though. I am glad she did not bite her tongue because as hard as I hit her with my head, it would have split her tongue. I felt terrible, especially because she was coming to give me a hug and tell me Merry Christmas. Ugh, so sorry Aubry.

The rest of the day was spent enjoying what she got, playing World of Warcraft, watching a movie, etc. It was just the 3 of us Christmas morning and it was nice. This Sunday brings the big family bash with the Hunter's mom, dad and sister, his Aunt and Uncle, cousins, etc. We had to move things around this year because of some work schedules but I do not mind, at all! Will be nice spread it all out over the course of a few days.

I hope every one had a wonderful holiday. I wish for a very prosperous, healthy, happy New Year for my friends and family.
