Spring Break

My spring break started out with a Dr. appointment and then x-rays. Nothing serious, just trying to figure out why my foot wants to hurt all the time. I broke it a few years back and perhaps it never healed properly. Any how the pain will go away, but until then, must figure out why it hurts and take a break from running for just a little bit. After my appointment, I headed home to work in the yard. I was told by a friend of mine that I am redefining vacation time by not actually relaxing. But hey, these are things that need to be done and sometimes the weekends are just full of other things going on. I decided to take this time off to hang with Aubry and get some things done that need to be done. The hanging with Aubry will come later in the week because she is with her Nana for a couple of days. It is that time again where they are jonesing for some time together! She comes home some time tomorrow in which we will then make plans do our thing. Until then, I will work in the yard, ride my bike real far and do other little things around the house that have been getting ignored.

One thing I noted this weekend...Aubry is becoming more of a social butterfly. Sunday, her friend calls to see if she can go to a movie. I take her to her friends house and then go back home to take off with Hunter to run an errand. During this time, another friend calls to see if Aubry can spend the night, that night. So when Aubry gets home from the movie I ask her if she wants to spend the night at her other friends house and she says sure. While she is packing, yet another friend rings the door bell to see if she wants to come outside to hang out. Aubry politely tells her she is on her way to another friends house, which is conveniently down the street. So Aubry heads down there only to get stopped by a couple of other people that are headed to the park. They ask her if she wants to go. So many choices that I am surprised her head was not spinning. And then yesterday after I get home from dropping her off at her nana's, the door bell rings with 2 of her friends wondering if she can come out. Hunter tells them she is not home but will return later in the week. And no sooner did we sit down for dinner, the door bell rings again. It is some one else asking if she can come out. Whew. Yes, I do love it and yes I do realize it will only get worse from here. Darn preteen years! (I am kidding)
