Love/Hate Relationship

There are 4 items that I possess that I cannot live without. The problem is, I have a love/hate relationship with each of them.

The first item would be my Chi Flat Iron. I am now on the 3rd one in just under a 4 year period. The first one needed to be replaced because I dropped it on a ceramic tiled floor and the ceramic plate busted off. The 2nd one needed to be replaced because the coating on the ceramic plates started to wear off. Honestly, that did disappoint me. I thought perhaps I just got a lemon out of the bunch so I ordered another one. Well, just over a year later I am experiencing the same problem with this one. Mine is the one on the right and you can see where the coating is wearing off. The newest model is the one on the left and I am hoping that one will not have the same problem that I have experienced with the older models. So this is where the love/hate comes in with this product. I love it because it straightens my hair so well. I hate it because I keep having to replace it after only a years worth of use. I have not found another flat iron that I like as much as this one. I hate to keep going back to it considering the longevity of it is, well, not long.

2nd on the list is my iPod Touch. I love love love my iPod Touch. Seriously, what is there not to love? Music, movies, games, youtube, Wi-Fi for web browsing, maps, email and the app store, etc. With all of these incredible features and then some, it really is the funnest iPod ever. What could I possibly hate about it? Well, mine is the 16gb 2nd Generation. It does not hold even half the music I have in my iTunes library. At the time, the 16gb was the biggest one they had but low and behold, now there is a 32gb. Sigh. I wonder what they would give me on a trade in?

My next love/hate is my phone. I currently have the Voyager. It is a cool phone for it not being a smart phone type device. I am currently on the 3rd one because the 1st 2 had issues with the touch screen, as does the 3rd one actually. The first one, the touch screen sensitivity pretty much went out which made it unusable. The 2nd one was pulling away from the corner, almost like someone had tried to "peel" the screen off. My current one is once again having issues with the touch screen. The whole bottom 1/4 of the screen is pixelated. As much as I love this phone, I do hate that I have had bad luck with the touch screen. More than likely, I will end up with the Droid when my trade in is up in February. Speaking of the Droid...I finally got my hands on one and got to push buttons and play with it. It is a very cool phone which I hope to develop a love/love relationship with.

Last but not least on my list is my love/hate relationship with my running shoes. I was properly fit for my shoes a couple of years ago when I started to get serious about running. I went to the Run On store in Dallas and the salesman that helped me was phenominal. I absolutely love my shoes. I never once got blisters, sore feet, tired feet, etc. when running in these shoes. The thing that I hate about them is that they are dam near impossible to find now. None of local stores carries them. Most of the websites do not have my size and I fear they will be obsolete in a year, maybe less. I am sure there will be others that will suit me just fine, but these shoes were perfect from day one. I have to give props to zappos.com. They were the only website that had the shoes in my size. I am sure that won't be the case forever though. Perhaps I should just order a life time supply?

So much goodness in one post.

First of all, yea for the new domain name!

Second of all, yea for pictures! Makes text easier to read when accompanied by pics.

Ok, your list is awesome.

1.) They come with a warranty. It's possible your issues weren't covered under warranty. Did you look into it?

2.) Blake has the 3rd gen, 32 GB. They don't even make the 16 GB anymore. UGH. Lovely device and much easier to type on than my first gen iPhone.

3.) I can't wait until you get an Android.

4.) Ahhhh, yes. I'm confident you can find another brand and style you love. I'm partial to Brooks.

I am glad you enjoyed my list! After I posted and went back to look at it, I realized the pictures added a certain element that I was missing before. Duh, right!

- Unfortunately, my warranty on the Chi had expired, both times. Sigh.

- As for the iPod Touch, guess I bought mine too soon!

- About that Droid...I cannot wait to get it either. I hope it does not disappoint.

- I am partial to Asics. :)
