Sunday Surprise!

I have been holding on to a secret for a few weeks now. I bought Nutcracker ballet tickets for Aubry, Mary Jo and me. I wanted to keep it a surprise for Aubry since she has never been to the ballet. She has seen the movie several times...well the Barbie version, so she already knew the story. Not to mention, on Friday in music class they learned the story of the Nutcracker so it was fresh in her head. So, we got semi-dressed up (see Aubry to the right!) on Sunday and headed out to pick up Mary Jo. We arrived at the Hall, took our seats and when the conductor welcomed us to the Nutcracker Ballet, Aubry looked at me and just started grinning. I was disappointed on one account. They did not allow cameras. I had mine with me ready to take some beautiful pictures to share. I am disappointed about that, but let me say that the Nutcracker was fantastic. Beautiful, graceful, mind blowing. The grace, strength and beauty truly was breathtaking. And the scenery was fabulous. Once it was over, we headed out for dinner. We had a very lovely time, just us 3 girls! Hunter asked me the other day, "You didn't buy me a ticket did you?" I said, "No way, this is a girl thing!" He actually looked relieved. Imagine that!
