My least favorite thing ~ Garage Sales

This weekend brought out the retail expert in me. I never ever thought I would use it, ever again. But there I was putting the garage sale stuff on tables, arranging things just so to make them appealing to the garage saler. I hung clothes and organized them by type and gender. I arranged toys on lower tables just for the kids! They would come through and see something they just had to have and I was right there to guilt the parent into buying that Barbie play set that they really didn't need. So there I was putting my 9 years of experience to use. It worked in our favor because we sold darn near everything in under 3 hours. And it was not that busy to be honest. People were just buying stuff in mass quantity. One customer mentioned, "You have really great stuff.", to which Hunter replied, "Well now it is your great stuff!" All in all, the garage sale was fine in spite of the windy and cooler conditions. I decided that I had enough and closed up shop around 2:30. I boxed up the leftovers to take to Good Will. We ended making over 300 bucks on what I would consider 'stuff'. So, I guess it was worth it!

On a different topic but one that you are all very familiar with....we have foundation! The foundation has been poured. I expect the frame to go up soon which will be the next set of pictures. So exciting.

As for our move out of the house, that will happen next weekend. We decided to go with a moving company. Generally, we would do this ourselves, but chose not to subject our friends to such torture. I know that when we move into the house, we will go with a moving company then as well. It just makes it easier on every one.

For now, I am off to take the kiddo shopping for clothes and to just have some mom and daughter time. That is something we have not been able to do in awhile with all the stuff going on. I am looking so forward to some giggle time with Aubry!
