Let the Painting Begin!

I swore I would not mention Aubry's room until it was done....well it is not done but I did start it this weekend. I got the entire solid color above the chair (which has yet to be hung) done yesterday. I was exhausted by the end of the day. I worked on it for 6 hours, mostly by myself. Aubry did help for about an hour but she over it by then! Any how, it has begun and I hope to have it complete by this time next week. One thing that did change, which is good for me, is that Aubry changed her mind on the stripes. Whew! Any how, the weekend over all was a good one even if it was full of "work". Aubry came home Friday and we hung out the rest of night until we crashed around 1:00 a.m. Saturday was spent with some friends of ours that we have not seen in a very long time. Scott, Sheri and their kids came over and we spent most of the time catching up on things. Of course, Scott and Hunter played games while Sheri and I did the whole catching up thing. Then comes Sunday which was spent doing laundry and painting. It was an exhausting day but I am happy that I finally got my butt in gear to get Aubry's done. Next on the list are the curtains for her room. I will see if I Mary Jo will let me come help her. I cannot sew on a machine and never had the desire to learn. However, that has changed in the last year or so. I want to learn so I can make things like curtains. And I get to learn from the master. Sweet! Speaking of curtains, the front room is nearly finished and the family room is complete. I will post pics soon because they look fantastic...thanks to the Master and her sister!
