Weekend Stuff

I know, I know, it has been a while. So, I will give a minute by minute of what happened this weekend. Well, maybe I will just summarize.

Friday: Nothing...much any way. I stayed in to nurse my still aching back. It was not as bad as it was the last few days, but it was still reminding me with twinges of pain that I should take it easy. So I did. I stretched, I took ibuprofin, I stretched some more and rubbed it out. Saturday I woke up with it feeling better. So yeah! Any how, back to Friday. One of Aubry's friends ended up spending the night on Friday. The girl next door had come over with another friend and they ended up playing outside for awhile. Not too long after that, Aubry came in asking if one of the girls could spend the night. Not a problem for me. They ended shooting pool for a good portion of the night while I sat my lazy butt in front of the TV. Something I rarely do, and it felt kind of nice!

Saturday: I got up and ran 3 miles Saturday morning. My back held up pretty good. I think I am on the road to recovery. Yeah. Aubry's friend from next door ended up going home around 12:00 which gave Aubry 4 hours until her other friend Marissa came over to spend the night. This sleep over was already planned so we just had to make sure the timing of every thing was alright! Marissa and Aubry are best friends so having her over is always fun. They really just want to do their own thing which is fine but it means I don't see Aubry the entire time that Marissa is here...unless of course they are hungry. :) So what did I do while Aubry was running around with her friend? I grocery shopped, did laundry, cleaned bathrooms...you know, the really exciting stuff. That night, Hunter and I rented a movie called Michael Clayton. It was a really slow starter, but it was good overall. The night was spent pretty much just chilling out with Hunter since is headed out of town again on Monday morning.

Sunday: LaBrett and Gene brought their van over and graciously took me to Home Depot to pick up the patio furniture that I have been eyeballing since Liz and Matt's visit. Actually, it is fire pit set. I did not want a traditional dining set. The lower table/fire pit just creates a more intimate setting in my opinion. I also got an outdoor rug that goes really well with the furniture I bought. It took me 3 hours to put that dang set together. It would have been easier if I had help but Hunter was out at the gym with a friend. And, I did not want to wait for him so I tackled it on my own. And, I did it! I will post pics later...I was too tired to take them tonight, not to mention I just did not think about it until Liz asked about pictures! The rest of the night was spent having dinner, finishing a movie we started long ago, taking a shower, doing more laundry. Blah blah blah.

This coming weekend is the diabetes walk for Aubry's school. She got over 500.00 in donations! I am going to be walking with her but I do not have all the details about this walk. I just have a time and a place. No route, no distance, just a time and place! I hope to get some pics of the event. From what I read, there will be some sort of get together at the end. Like a party of some sort with drawings for prizes. There will be food, games, etc. I look forward to participating in this with Aubry. Stay tuned for details of the event.
