This Week Needs to END!

Monday brought about a some what normal day. The usual work, dinner, laundry, etc. Tuesday is when the craziness started. Aubry called me to inform that her group was in need of some materials for a project at school. Apparently they were behind due to most of the kids being in choir which was during the project planning time. That in turn interfered with the project planning which caused them to get behind. So, Aubry volunteered to get the rest of the stuff. We were off to Michaels to get foam core board that needed to 3 feet by 4 feet. We then headed to Home Depot to get 1X2 pieces of wood cut to specific lengths. In summary, the project was to create a putt putt course (not the entire thing mind you, but just one hole). The foam board was the platform and the wood pieces were used to create the path. We got all the necessary cutting done at Home Depot and headed home to assemble. But, we absolutely had to eat first! After dinner, we started to cut on the foarm board to create the 3X4 size...only to discover that I did not get enough boards. Back to Michaels we went. Got back home, assembled the platform and began laying the wood strips down to create the paths. Another snag ensued. The measurements that they took were off just enough to create very narrow pathways, so I busted out the power tools and cut down the pieces that needed to be cut down. Got it all assembled, labled, etc. Aubry drew up her diagram and we were done just in time for her to shower. Wednesday, I ended up needing to take Aubry to school because the pieces were too many and big for her to take on the bus. While I was there, I got to see the other pieces they were using to create the putt putt hole. They had a tunnel and a tower which were pretty cool. After work, I headed to the grocery store. I also got Aubry's birthday present while I was out so I won't be last minute shopping on that! Got all the stuff put up and turned right back around for Aubry first night of tennis lessons. While she practiced I did my short little run on the track. After practice, we grabbed a bite to eat and then headed home. Cleaned the kitchen, more laundry and then we were done just in time for her shower again! Now we are to Thursday which was a complete brain drain at work. In the midst of very deep thought processes, Aubry calls to inform me that her glasses got jacked up during PE. She got nailed in the face during dodge ball after the whistle blew to end the game. I am guessing that a ball was mid air when the whistle blew and Aubry was not expecting it. When I got home, I grabbed her and headed to the eye doctor for them to adjust her specs. Got there just in time too! As I was driving home, I remembered that Keller Pointe required the guest list for her b-day party two days in advance which would be today. Crap, better run by there real quick. While I was there I paid the rest of her summer camp dues. Killed two birds with one stone. After the running around with that, got home for dinner. Ate and then went upstairs to make sure Aubry's bathroom was clean for Shannon and Payton to use. I put clean sheets on the bed, opened up the air vent to cool off the guest room and called it a day! Sounds like I am whining now that I think about it! Maybe I am, maybe I am not ;)

Tomorrow brings Hunter home and the arrival of Shannon and Payton. That night, we are headed out for sushi. Saturday brings another busy day, but I will blog about that later because I plan to have pictures with that one.
