Garmin Report

Another cool feature of my Garmin watch is that it averages all of the activity. Here are the results of my activity for the last 60 days, which is when I started my running program.

Total Time: 22:36:16
Avg. Distance: 4.22
Avg. Time: 45.52
Avg. Pace 8:50
Longest Run: 7.00 (the report does not show this, but I wanted to add it since I just did my first 7.00 mile run this morning!)

So, I was just sitting here thinking....I squeaked out 7 miles today and the thought of increasing that every 2 weeks just seems, well, difficult. I find that I talk to myself when I am nearing the end of my long runs and am feeling very fatigued. And today was no different, "you can do this", "come on....so close to the end", "you are strong and can get up this hill". So this makes me wonder if when I increase to 8 miles in 2 weeks, what am I going to have to say to myself to get through it!? That whole self encouragement is great and all, but there are only so many things I can say to myself before it starts getting silly!
