74 degrees at 11:00 in Texas?!

I knew we were expecting a cool front to come through this weekend but when I stepped out to ride my bike at 11:00 a.m., it felt awesome. I rode past the high school and saw that it was 74 degrees! I was shocked, honestly. So the next hour I enjoyed much cooler temperatures and hope to have the same thing tomorrow on my 9 mile run. I rode the course that I plan to run tomorrow just to make sure it was a good "foot" course. I will make a couple of minor adjustments, but overall it should be a good course. I mapped it out first on mapmyrun.com (since I am without my Garmin for the time being) just to make sure that it would be 9 miles. So, the whole Garmin saga does continue. I was instructed by Shawn (support person) to send my watch by some traceable means and to insure it. I did that on Thursday and with any luck, they will either replace it or repair. I really don't care what they do, as long as I get back a working watch that will last...

Last night was our usual out to dinner night with a stop at Target. Aubry is going to a birthday party this afternoon and we still had not picked her friends gift. Hence the need for the stop at Target. Once we got home, I just got lazy. I sat in front of the TV and watched the Olympics for a couple of hours before I fell asleep on the couch. Not the most exciting night, but I think I just needed to take the break. Been running and cross training and working and all that usual day to day stuff. I just said to myself, "Enough, I am not doing a dang thing tonight!" No, I am not complaining. It is what it is and sometimes you just need a break from the everyday But today the day to day things are back! I will be doing some much house cleaning. Tomorrow, I get to see my family. We are taking Aubry to Nana and Papa's tomorrow so this will give Hunter and I a chance to catch up. It has been awhile since we have seen them so I am sure there will be much in way of conversation! Hunter and I will probably try to go see The Dark Knight on our way home from Nana and Papa's house. Can't wait!

Not sure what the rest of the week brings. We will be Aubryless so maybe we will have a couple of dates. Oh, I do know that there is a meet the teacher night. It is Thursday of this week so we will need to have Aubry during that time so she can walk through her schedule and meet her teacher's. She is big man on campus this year!
