I raved about the Garmin, sang its praises, even recommended it to some people. And now I am having issues with mine. I won't even go into all the issues because the biggest one is that it will not upload my data to the Garmin Connect website where all my times are stored. I can see the times in my watch, but the ANT Agent just won't recognize the device and therefore will not upload my data. I did all the recommended troubleshooting that the website suggests but have had no luck getting it to work. I was on the phone for over an hour with support, listening to lovely hold music. I never got to speak to a live person. I will continue to use the watch to track my times and with any luck, support can help me and all of my data will once again be uploaded. For now, here is what I did this week.
August 5: 5.03 Miles, 54:29:04
August 7: 4.50 Miles, 48:08:43 (Tonights run was a weird one. I had every intention of getting in 5 miles but my legs told me "no". They got seriously tired and I started getting chills...in 95 degree temps. What is that about?)
On a non running note, guess what this Saturday is? PRESEASON BABY! Whoo hoo. I am so ready for football to start back up. And speaking of football, what is with Brett Favre pulling a Michael Jordan? "I am retired, I am not retired, I am retired, I am not retired." Don't get me wrong, I love me some Brett, but I think he went about this the wrong way. He looks like a spoiled child at the moment and has left a bitter taste in many peoples mouths. sigh.
As for the rest of the weekend, it is school clothes shopping for Aubry. We are headed out Sunday, alllll day to shop for her. And we will do lunch at the place of her choice. We will just turn it into an Aubry day! I bet she will love that. But for now, I am going to stretch out my tired legs and call it a night.
