What Happened??

As much as I hate to admit this, Washington played a great game. Dallas, not so much. I will not go into great detail about my dismay for the team that really never showed up. There were some great plays, but the ones were not so great is what cost the game. Duh, right! It is still early enough in the season that this doesn't hurt, too much. But they lost to Washington. This is a team that the Cowboys have proven time and time again that they can be beat. Sigh. Oh well. What can you do but look forward to the next game.

Overall, it was a great weekend. I wanted so badly to get out and run but I also knew that it would not be a good idea. I still need to give it some time. I am going to get out with LaBrett tomorrow and do some speed-walking so that I can keep the cardio up. I can always ride the bike to help in that area too. I had every intention of doing that this weekend, but I chose to get laundry done and work in the yard. The garden needed some TLC and I gave it a ton of that! I weeded, trimmed some over grown stuff, put down some nice landscaping stone and bought mulch (which I have yet to put down). But give me a break, I worked in the yard for 3 hours and it was time to take a break. Not to mention, I had to get the grill fired up for some jack daniels marinated chicken. Yum. And on that note, LaBrett came over to watch the game but not before we made a kick @$$ meal. Grilled chicken, sausage, mashed potatoes, squash, zucchini, red pepper, onion. The veggies were cooked in olive oil and basil. Very tasty. Oh, and Hunter made some dark chocolate ghirardelli brownies. I am not a fan of dark chocolate but this has got to be the best brownie mix I have ever had.

Hunter mentioned that I don't put enough pics on my blog which is true. I really need to take advantage of the wonderful SLR that we have. So, I took some pics of the garden (before mulch) and am posting pics from when we first moved in to the house just over a year ago. I cannot believe how much everything has grown. I think I did a pretty good job on the garden. What do you think mom, green thumb queen?!

This is from when we first moved in.

Look at how much everything has grown.

I had to add this pic of Suko. She is just too cute.
