Rockin' Out to Boston

Our afternoon/evening with Mary Jo was a lot of fun. Hunter rode his bike out there while Aubry and I drove in my car. We went to Mary Jo's house first so we could pick her up and decide where to eat. We made up our minds and headed out, Hunter on his bike and the rest of us my car. We pulled up to the restaurant and I noticed Hunter standing next to his bike with a very distraught look on his face. I knew something was not right. He said he did have his wallet with him. The last place he remembered having it was at the gas station, near our house. We were 30 miles from there which led him to believe that it was on the highway somewhere. He was mentally retracing his steps from when we got to his mom's house and thinking that perhaps he took his wallet out of his pocket when we first got there. We just could not remember. We went ahead and went into the restaurant all the while calling back to the house trying to get ahold of his dad to check the areas where Hunter had been. We enjoyed our lunch/dinner (what I affectionately refer to as dunch) and headed back to the house. Hunter left before us and as we pulled up he was already there, wallet in hand. Relief all over his face (mine too). He did in fact take it out of his pocket and set it down on the desk. Any how, that was a little stressful considering his life is in his wallet. After that, we settled in for a game of slap (card game) to which I started off really good. Almost too good. They were looking at me like, where did this speed come from?! Let me just say, I am not the best at that card game. As fun as it is, I pretty much suck. But not today...I was on fire! Hunter and Mary Jo dominate that game and I am usually just there to add more cards for them to play off of. The game ended with me having a pretty dang reputable score. We hung for a bit longer and then took off for home. Well actually, Aubry and I headed to Garden Ridge because there is not one close to our house. I had a gift card that I got for my birthday that I really wanted to use. So I used it on some cool looking fat frogs that I put in the garden. They are too cool. Aubry and I piled back into the car and made our way home. I gave her control of the music via iPod and we ended up rockin' out to Boston. It was odd at first to hear Aubry singing along to "Long Time", but Guitar Hero and Rock Band has introduced the younger generation to the coolest music of all time. So there we were, laughing and singing at the top of our lungs. We got a few strange looks as I pulled up the fake microphone and sang into it. I don't care though, we had a good time doing it!
