Thanksgiving Weekend

In a nutshell, dinner was fantastic, the company was great and the card playing went into the weeeee hours of the night. The only thing, I missed out on cards Thursday night because I decided to get warm and comfortable on the couch and I just fell asleep. When I woke up, it was 4 hours later. Holy crap! I felt bad that I flaked out and missed the end of day festivities. I knew I would have my chance though because there were plans for everyone to go to Mary Jo's on Friday night. So we headed over there around 6:00 with leftovers from the day before to start round two of Thanksgiving. Had dinner, some dessert and then settled in for a long night of card playing. I have never played hearts before and that was the game of choice. I think I picked up on it pretty quickly. I didn't lose and I didn't win. I only ran them once but it was loads of fun and I think I can take them next time. Maybe!

Today is open. We have no plans so I think I will fill part of the day by taking Aubry to see Twilight. No way was I in the mood to endure the teenage crowd last weekend. It was just not a good weekend for me to do that. This weekend on the other hand will do just fine! We may do some Christmas shopping for the Grandparents and her dad. We shall see.
