More to Keller than meets the eye

We have lived in Keller for a year and half already and I am just now discovery some areas that I did not know existed before. The history to finding some of these places occured when LaBrett and I were out Christmas shopping one weekend. We were on our way back to the house when she turned down a side street off of the main strip. She mentioned that it is a great short cut to avoid getting stuck in the rush hour traffic. So, I started taking this route on my way home from work and discovered where the Keller Town Hall is, some fancy schmancy boutiques, antique shops, art galleries, etc. How could I have missed all of this before! I told LaBrett about it she said she has already seen it and wants to go check it out some weekend. Low and behold, this past weekend Hunter had some friends over (Labrett's hubby included) so we decided to take that as an opportunity to check out Keller. We found some beautiful shops with art pieces all the way from water colors to photography. We found antique shops, a custom bakery shop, western shop, handmade jewelry, bags and clothes type shops. We disocovered a baby boutique with ridiculously high priced custom made bedding and clothes. We went in to see what they had since her sister is having a baby in June. I was pretty disappointed to see that they catered to baby girls for the most part. We also stumbled on a shop that had authentic pieces from Germany, Czechoslovakia and Sweden. LaBrett was espcially excited about this place since her hubby lived in Germany for many years. We also discovered a Cigar Lounge/Bar. They were not open for business when we went by, but the door was propped open so we saw inside. The guy that was inside was getting ready to open and he was very nice, easy to talk to. We plan to go back some Saturday night to drink scotch and smoke cigars! After our afternoon of discoveries, we made our way home to see the spouses briefly before I went to her house to hold her hand while she got her tattoo! Her brother-in-law has been tattooing for awhile now so he has all the (sterile) equipment to do them outside of his home. Any how, that was fun to watch her grimmace while he inked her!

Until next time....
