Say it isn't so....

I have suffered a girly moment. A monumental girly moment. A girly moment of epic proportions. I find it odd that this moment would come at the heels of the Unicorn Post which pretty much outlined my guy-like tendencies. The even more odd part about this moment is that it involved my hair. Yes, my hair. You really can’t get any more girly than that. There I was last night sitting in the chair at the salon; my hair dresser was standing behind me with scissors in hand. Mind you, I was well overdue for a trim and because I apply heat (in the form of a flat iron) to my hair daily, it tends to dry out. Unfortunately, it was a little worse than I thought. I told her to go ahead and get it healthy again. Little did I realize it would cause me to lose more than 3 inches off the length of my hair? To be honest though, it is not short, it is not long. But because it is so much different than what I am used to, that is what caused me to go into my girly moment this morning. This is not the norm for me, so this incident got me to thinking about other girly tendencies I may possess. And I am not even sure they can be classified as girly. Maybe I am wrong or maybe I am in denial.

• I stand in my closet, evaluate the clothing situation, try and make a decision on what to wear. This process sometimes means that I change my clothes 3 or 4 times.
• Fussing about having to clean the house, all the time, usually by myself.
• I love shoes and I love to shop for shoes.
• I sometimes get manicures and/or pedicures.
• I love to take pictures.
• I take pride in my appearance but do not spend all day primping…so I wonder if that even counts?!
• I hate my gray hairs so I color my hair to cover them.

I am sure there are more. Perhaps some of you know me better than I do and can add to this list? (You can add to the guy-like tendencies list too since that is my favorite part of me!)
