off my bike! Yes, I took a dive today. 11 minutes into our 40 minute cross training, I decided to wedge my wheel between the sidewalk and the grass. It was not intentional, at all! Hunter and I came across a part on the sidewalk where they were doing some construction so we had to turn off onto the grass and then turn back up to get on the sidewalk. I proceeded to pull up on the handle bars to "hop" over the little gap between the side walk and the grass, only my timing was off and down I went. Hit the ground hard, shoulder first and got very minor abrasions on my leg. No big deal, it was a slow speed fall. I was more concerned about my Garmin than I was anything else! There are minor scratches on it but it does work just fine. Whew. Would hate to shell out more $$$ to replace it. Any how, the Garmin recorded only the time up to when I took a dive because for some stupid reason, I decided to stop the training timer. Not sure what I was thinking there. But, we did re-chain my bike, made sure I was not bleeding and finished what we started out to do. I am guessing we did about 7.5 miles since that is what we did last weekend when we rode 40 minutes. Hunter did mention that today's ride seemed easier so who really knows how far we went.
So now it is time to go sock hunting. How exciting.
