Gatorade is Good

Especially after a 4 Mile Run...

You would think that after running 3 miles and 3.5 miles for a few weeks that running 4 miles would really be no big deal. I have even run 5 miles a couple of times and that was just fine. But tonight, there was one hill in particular that about did me in. I managed to finish with a pretty decent pace and time, but man was I tired. I really should have got up this morning and ran instead of sleeping that extra hour. But due to only sleeping 2 hours the previous night, I chose sleeping that extra hour over getting up to run. My thought was, "I can run tonight, even if it is going to be 95 degrees." Either way, I did my 4 miles which is now the norm for the 'short' runs during the week. Ha, 4 miles is considered a short run....in whose world!

So this week and last week have been pretty trying to say the least. The client has been in the office on those days so we have been holed up in a conference room the entire time. At least there are windows! Otherwise, I think we would all be going a little crazy. Any how, since the client is in, I have been late getting home on all of those days which means Hunter gets to be mom and dad on those days! He does not mind but I am sure everyone will be happy when things go back to normal. Looks like that may happen tomorrow. Yippeee! But on the flip side of that, their visit means more programming/testing for me and my work partner. Bring on the challenge. I welcome it. I just don't welcome the long hours, but will do what needs to be done to get the job done. Anyhow, enough boring work talk. That seems to be all that has been going on though. With any luck, this long weekend coming up will bring fun and relaxation. I know that there should be some fun happening on the 4th of July. Does any one have a nice cold adult beverage they would be willing to share with me!?
