Aubry spent the week with her nana. We missed her a lot but we know that she needs her nana time too. They have the coolest relationship and I am very thankful for that! So any how, during the week, Hunter and I met for dinner after work one night and then headed out to see the Dark Knight. It was awesome. I would love to see it again. I know it will be added our movie library. That was the only night that we went out and did anything while she was gone. We did get to see Aubry and Nana on Thursday though. That particular night was the Bulldog Blowout. That is what the school calls the meet the teacher's night. So Mary Jo drove out here with Aubry is tow so we could make it to the school to pick up her schedule, meet her teachers, get her locker assignment, etc. First impressions on the teachers...I think it will be a fine year. When we got home, we had dinner, chatted a lot and played Slap/Nerts. (card game that we all love). It really felt like a Friday and the idea of having to get up and go to work was just not a good feeling! But, I did it any way because I kind of have to. This weekend was spent getting caught up on much needed house work, washing of the car, yard work. You know, boring stuff. This morning, I woke up at 7:00 to tackle the 10 mile run. I mapped out the 10 miles on mapmyrun.com. When I got back, I plugged in my start and stop time on my profile for that particular course and I finished the run with pretty good numbers. Took me an hour and 55 minutes. I had an average pace of 11:26 and burned a whole bunch of calories! Next week, 11 miles. (whew)
Today, we are off to have some family time. Then tonight starts the routine of the school week! Monday is the beginning of 6th Grade for my kiddo. She is excited about being big man on campus. :)
