It's been 20 days

My last post was when there was something fun going on. Here lately, it has been one "incident" after another. Not really fun to post about self inflected injuries, unintentional of course, but injuries none the less. Between knee issues, getting sick, falling down the stairs and breaking my toe, injuring my back bad enough that it required a chiro visit, etc....I figured detailing all that mess out would make for a boring post. So lately, I have been recouping and working and taking care of things around the house. Now that I am on the mend, I am back to normal (whatever that entails). This weekend we are having another shindig at our house. Many people have been asking when the next Barbosa Party is going to be so Hunter and I decided to put one together. I am sure there will be plenty to post about after the party!

As for Aubry, this school year is shaping up nicely and dang near over. She has had a wonderful year, making a lot of friends, keeping her grades up and growing before my very eyes. As a mom, I love that she is growing up and becoming a lovely young lady. As a mom, it is bitter sweet to see her growing. With the summer approaching, we have made summer camp plans for her. We are also looking into basketball camp and martial arts of some sort. The basketball camp is to help her hone her skills for next year when 7th grade athletics rolls around. The martial arts is simply because she is very interested in it. I think it is cool that she wants to learn and I am hoping that the place Hunter found is just what she is looking for. Right now, at this stage in Aubry's life, her friends are very important to her...as is her phone! These are just some of things that come with approaching the teenage years. And I know that many of my friends that have older kids can attest to that!

Thing that are coming up that I am most excited about:
1) Trip to DC to see my brother wrap up his career with the military. It will be an awesome event and like a mini family reunion.
2) Trip (as long as ticket prices cooperate) to MI to see Stef wrap up her High School career. I get to see Liz too. :)
3) Breast Cancer 3 Day, which is not until November but I am still looking forward to it. It will be a very memorable event with Liz.
4) A trip to Austin to run in a 5k with LaBrett.
5) Summer vacation plans with the family, which have yet to be decided upon.

Those are the just the items off the top of my head. I am sure there are more, but these are pretty big and important to me.

I am out of here for now. I hope not to wait so long between posts. I know, I have said that before but this time I really mean it.
