Lots of cool stuff coming up

These next few weeks are pretty full with some exciting things coming up. It all starts in the next couple of weeks with a trip to DC for my brothers retirement from the Navy. He will soon be a civilian, dad, husband, etc. He is really excited and I am really proud! His picture that is posted on FB shows a pretty decorated military man. So awesome. I am looking forward to this trip for a variety of reasons. I have not seen my brother, sister in law or nephews in so long. It will be like a little family reunion with my mom and step dad, my dad, and who knows who else will be there. I did learn of a friend of mine (well, mainly Marc's friend) that will be there as well. This is a guy from High School that I have not seen since High School. I am pretty sure that is the case for Marc too, although I could be wrong. Another reason I am looking forward to this trip is because I have never been to DC. Marc is going to be our personal tour guide. I just hope I remember to take the SLR with me. (Hunter don't let me forget the camera!). The 2nd biggie of the activities is the kiddos birthday which we will of course celebrate on her birthday. That following weekend is her party with her friends. The plan is to have it at The Summit which is an indoor rock climbing place. Really cool and I know that kids will have a good time. After her party, that next weekend I am headed to Michigan. I get to see Liz and the family. Whoo Hoo. I am going for Stef's graduation party. I would like to make it to the ceremony but I can't because of the date of the ceremony. It interferes with other stuff. That is okay though because I will be there for the after party. I grew up in Michigan so I do not need a tour guide, but I am sure we will take some time to do some stuff. With any luck, I will get to see some of my other family that is there. After this trip, the next big event is not until November. That is another one that I am very much looking forward to. Liz is flying down here so we can do the 3Day 60 Mile walk together. I am sure many of you already know that we are doing this. The good news is that Liz's mom has finished her treatment and is hopefully on her way to a clean bill of health. The other good news is that I met the 2300.00 goal of donations to be raised for the Susan G. Komen foundation. I am now asking that anyone who would still like to donate, please help Liz reach her goal. If you would like to help, please follow the link: http://www.the3day.org/goto/ElizabethFurtaw

As for this weekend, Hunter put his foot down and said no one is coming over, we are going to hang out, just the 3 of us. The plan is have breakfast out tomorrow, then head to the movies. After the movie, we are coming back to the house to fill it up with games. The last few weeks have been pretty packed with going here and there and every where. So, Hunter decided...not this weekend! I am cool with that. Might be one of few times we will see Aubry for more than a minute. All of you with preteens and teens no exactly where that comment comes from.

Peace.
